📖 The Story of the Disenchanter

✦ The Beginning
For generations, Steve accepted the way of things. He would spend countless hours gathering rare materials, crafting powerful weapons, and enchanting his tools with the magic of the world. But there was always one thing that troubled him.
What happened to the magic when the item was destroyed?
Every time a treasured sword finally broke, every time a pickaxe wore down beyond repair, and every time an enchanted piece of armor was lost forever, Steve couldn't help but wonder where all that magic went. Surely such powerful enchantments could not simply vanish.

So Steve began to study. He searched forgotten libraries. He questioned wandering villagers. He explored ancient ruins and spent years experimenting with enchanted items, books, and the mysterious forces that bound magic to the objects of this world. Many attempts failed. Some produced nothing but ordinary books. Others caused the enchantment to disappear entirely. But Steve refused to give up.
✦ The Discovery
After years of research, he finally discovered something remarkable.
Enchantments could be separated from the items that carried them.
With the right method, the magical essence of an enchantment could be carefully drawn out and preserved within a book. The discovery changed everything. An enchanted sword no longer had to carry every enchantment forever. A valuable enchantment could be removed and preserved for another day. The magic would no longer be lost simply because the item itself was destroyed. But there was a catch! The enchantment had to be removed before the item broke or it was still lost forever.
✦ The Problem With Curses
But Steve soon discovered that not all magic was willing to leave so easily.
Curses were different.
Dark enchantments resisted the process, fighting against anyone who attempted to extract them. Removing a curse was dangerous. Failure could cause the entire item — and any enchantments not already recovered from it — to be lost. Steve learned an important lesson:
Some magic can be preserved.
Some magic must be fought for.
And some magic comes with a price.

And so, the Disenchanter was born. Steve's discovery allows adventurers to reclaim the magic hidden within their weapons, tools, and armor — preserving enchantments that might otherwise be lost forever. But when it comes to curses...
You'd better be careful.
The research of Steve did not end with the discovery of the Disenchanter. There are still enchantments whose secrets remain unknown...
