# Radius Settings

## Overview
The **Scan Radius** controls how far around a Mob Stand it searches for mobs to manage.
The radius controls the horizontal search area around the Mob Stand.

## Setting the Scan Radius
To change the scan radius:

1. Open the Mob Stand menu.
2. Select **Scan Radius**.
3. Choose the desired radius.
4. The selected radius is applied to the Mob Stand.

A larger radius allows the Mob Stand to search a larger area.

## Vertical Scan Range
RS-MobStand limits the vertical scan range to:

- **2 blocks above** the Mob Stand's base Y level
- **2 blocks below** the Mob Stand's base Y level

The vertical range is fixed and is not increased when the horizontal radius is increased.
For example, if the Mob Stand is at Y=64, it scans vertically from approximately Y=62 through Y=66.

## Viewing the Radius

The **View Radius** option lets you see the configured scan area.

To view it:

1. Open the Mob Stand menu.
2. Select **View Radius**.
3. The configured scan area is displayed with particles.
4. The visualization remains visible for approximately 30 seconds.

The visualization is shown only to the player who activated it.

## Choosing a Radius

Choose a radius based on the size of the area you want the Mob Stand to manage.

A smaller radius can help keep the Mob Stand focused on a specific area, while a larger radius can cover a larger mob-farming area.
