# Pause and Resume
## Overview
A Mob Stand can be **paused** when you want to temporarily stop it from managing mobs.
Pausing a Mob Stand does not remove its configuration.
---
## Pausing a Mob Stand
To pause a Mob Stand:
1. Open the Mob Stand menu.
2. Select **Pause**.
3. The Mob Stand stops managing mobs.
The Mob Stand remains in place with its existing settings.
---
## Resuming a Mob Stand
To resume a paused Mob Stand:
1. Open the Mob Stand menu.
2. Select **Resume**.
3. The Mob Stand begins managing mobs again using its current settings.
---
## Mob Stands Start Paused
When a standard Armor Stand is converted into an RS-MobStand, the new Mob Stand starts **paused**.
This gives you an opportunity to configure the Mob Stand before it begins managing mobs.
A typical setup is:
1. Convert the Armor Stand.
2. Open the Mob Stand menu.
3. Configure the mob filters.
4. Set the scan radius.
5. Configure any other options.
6. Select **Resume** when you are ready.
---
## When to Pause a Mob Stand
Pausing can be useful when:
- You are changing the Mob Stand's configuration.
- You are working in the area around the Mob Stand.
- You temporarily do not want the Mob Stand managing mobs.
- You are performing maintenance on a mob farm.
---
## Configuration Is Preserved
Pausing a Mob Stand does not require you to configure it again when you resume it.
Its configured filters, radius, and other settings remain available. |
